Biography

Ha Eun Jang (Grace) is a Korean artist and designer based in New York City. Raised between Korea and Hanoi, she holds a B.S. in Integrated Design & Media from NYU Tandon, with a background in Fine Arts, and is continuing her studies in NYU’s M.S. in Integrated Design & Media program.

Working at the intersection of art, technology, and human experience, Ha Eun explores interactive installations, creative coding, physical computing, and emerging media. Her practice is rooted in curiosity about how people perceive, interact with, and experience the world differently, often translating subtle sensory experiences into tangible and immersive forms.

Born Deaf, Ha Eun learned to navigate language and her surroundings through more than sound—through sight, touch, movement, vibration, and sensation. Her relationship with rain reflects this way of experiencing the world. Like learning words by feeling raindrops, she became attentive to textures, rhythms, and small changes that might otherwise go unnoticed. Living in a world largely designed around hearing has shaped the way she observes and fills invisible gaps through what she can see, feel, and imagine.

Through her work, Ha Eun seeks to create experiences that invite people to encounter familiar things from unfamiliar perspectives. Rather than treating technology simply as a tool, she uses it as a medium for interaction, storytelling, and sensory exploration—creating spaces where different ways of perceiving the world can be felt, understood, and shared.
