What does sound feel like when you cannot hear it?

In this immersive installation, Ha Eun (Grace) Jang transforms sound, an invisible material, into a physical and visual experience through the movement of water. Growing up with hearing loss, she has come to understand sound not as something heard, but as pressure, vibration, and texture, a material with weight. Inside a darkened space, visitors wear noise-canceling headsets and observe water droplets responding to sound in real time, watching the imperceptible become visible. This work invites audiences into a sensory world where listening becomes seeing, and where silence holds its own texture.
